Why EcoDash exists.
Mission & Purpose
EcoDash is a school sustainability reporting initiative that helps educational institutions organize, measure, and share their environmental progress. The initiative encourages schools to adopt more structured sustainability planning while increasing transparency and collaboration within educational communities.
Why EcoDash Matters
Many schools already pursue sustainability through recycling programs, energy conservation, water-saving efforts, environmental clubs, sustainability education, and climate action projects. However, without a shared reporting system, these efforts can be difficult to evaluate, maintain, and improve over time. EcoDash creates common reporting categories so schools can understand their progress in context, learn from peer institutions, and set more realistic sustainability goals.

Our Story
EcoDash began as a student-led initiative through Concord Academy's Environmental Council. Recognizing that schools often implement environmental initiatives without long-term evaluation systems, the project was designed to create a framework for organizing sustainability goals, measuring environmental progress, and improving institutional accountability.
Meet the Founder
Chaehyun Han — Sustainability Initiative Developer
Chaehyun Han developed EcoDash to help schools transform scattered sustainability efforts into measurable, transparent, and collaborative progress. Through a shared questionnaire, reporting framework, and dashboard platform, EcoDash aims to support schools in tracking sustainability data and building long-term environmental planning systems.
